Today's Featured Biography
Joy Kessinger Spicer
Married for 20 years now to Brian (my first husband, Kenny died). Have four grown children (ages 30-24) and six grandchildren (ages 1-10). Live in Bakersfield, CA and hate it as there are four seasons- kinda-hot, hot, very hot, and hot-as-hell. Graduated from Washburn University (Topeka, KS) with degrees in Sociology & Chemistry in 2004, from Capella University with masters in Criminal Justice. Went to GWU School of Medicine for a bit at age 42 (yes, med school at that age) but it did not work out. Currently I am a full-time Grammy to two of my granddaughters (age 2 & 4) and am a Tax Professional during tax season. Being preggers my senior year at ERSH kinda set the course for my life... Don't mean to sound bitter. Just wish I had taken advantage of all that was offered me back then. C'est la vie. I have had supper with six Nobel Laureates, have dived the Great Barrier Reef, got checked up on by Fabolous, met Papa Bush in the Rose Garden, and my miniature pomeranian is now 21 years old! Guess it's not too bad of a life, eh?
