After Shawnee Mission, I spent two years at KU where studying was not a high priority, four years in the Navy, after which studying seemed like a really good idea, a bit of remedial work at a junior college in Torrance, CA, and then graduation from UCLA.. I've spent the next 42 years as a engineer working for the same company designing and building traveling wave tubes. (Microwave amplifying devices)
While in the Navy I married a sweet girl from KC, but once I was out, and she actually had to spend time with me, she decided to end the relationship. After a few years of reflection and then a whirlwind courtship of only 27 years, I married again. This one seems to be lasting.
