John Marshall High School - Meeting and 1980 Reunion - Marriott E. 21st Street
Meeting - Your Attendance, Donation, and Support / Reunion to be determined
John Marshall Alumni Association - Meeting First Monday of the Month 7th @ 7:00pm - Meeting Agenda - Calling all Classmates we need HELP
Money for EVERYTHING would be good ;-) Right now, They have just a handful of people involved and they cannot begin fund raising until they get the 501c3 (hence the need for an attorney and an accountant).
They are hoping to start a program where we provide a "pizza party" each month as a reward to students who improve in the areas of academics, athletics and character development. We haven't worked out all the details yet because we do not have the money to fund the project, nor do we have our 501c3 to enable us to get the pizzas donated on a regular basis.
They have already started a "Patriot Pantry" that will be available to families through the school social worker. They are making it our policy that everyone bring a canned good or other non-perishable food item to every meeting or event we hold. Right now, it is just the board meetings that have taken place, but we know that it will grow as we grow. We also plan to start a Clothes Closet, possibly with a coat drive. But again... baby steps until we get established.
We have very high hopes for the good we will be able to do, once we get the groundwork layed. If anyone is going to a New Year's Party have everyone bring a canned good or non-perishable food and be responsible for getting it to the meeting on the 4th. Thank you!
If you have answers, ideas, suggestions, donations, questions to the above please contact Elaine Houck Snapp @ esnapp9506@aol.com or call 1-800-711-5338.
