Today's Featured Biography
Don Carroll
I'm on my 29th year at Swedish American Hosp
as a purchasing agent of medical supplies and equipment. Julie also has worked at SAH since 1985 and is the accounts payable supervisor.
Daughter Nikki graduated from Dubuque U. last May and is a juvenile probation officer
for Stephenson County in Freeport by day and
takes care of her own little juvenile delinquent at night, our granddaughter Farrah
who is 7 going on 17. Of course, we love having our little juvie only 20 miles away now
instead of 100.
Daughter Jenna is working at SAH in
the medical supply distribution office. She is planning on attending surgical technician
school this fall.
Both daughters are still single with
significant others that mom and dad approve of (like it would matter).
We enjoy our summers golfing, biking,
working in the yard, and lounging in Pic's
pool whether he is home or not. We like to
travel in the fall (not that we do it every fall) and basically hibernate in the winter
because it sucks.
Regarding retirement, that more or less hinges on my 401. As we speak, my financial
planner is poring over my portfolio to
determine the best investment options for my
401 dollars. Hopefully by the reunion, I will
have a clearer picture of my future.
Speaking of the reunion, I can't wait to see
ALL of you Blackhawks. I've met alot of people
in the past 40 years and you guys are still the best!
