Whew! FIFTY years! And they have been busy ones. My family moved to Atlanta during my freshman year at Knox, so I've lost contact with most of those who were important to me in high school.
In 1966, I married Ray Greenwald and switched from belle to granola-cruncher in New Hampshire. We then moved to Boulder, CO, and, three births later, to Lindau-am-Harz , Germany, for four years. (Ja! Deutsch kann ich!) We landed in Maryland in 1979, and finally stayed put! We've spent the past twenty years restoring our 1720's home, Salopha.
After retiring from my position as a specialist in gifted and talented education for our public school system, I indulged my passions for horticulture and historic preservation. Currently I chair our local Historic District Commission and coordinate our town's one-room African-American Schoolhouse. As a Maryland Master Gardener, I give talks on various horticultural topics. Old teachers never die!
An event at the Schoolhouse will keep me busy on October 6, but I would love to hear from any of you!
