Today's Featured Biography
Gail Ann Onken Bonham
Well, being the first to report puts a lot of pressure on me! ha ha
Life is good.
My daughter Heather will graduate high school in 2007 - she's a junior this year. She doesn't know exactly what she wants to do, but this week she is leaning towards being a Crime Scene Investigator. She is the life of the party, built like an hour glass, laughs or cries when someone else does because she doesn't believe in someone doing it by themselves. She volunteers her time at the VA and works at both the elementary and the high school in the office.
My son John Ryan is in 6th grade and plays linebacker in football. He is active in paintballing, skateboarding and mountain biking also. He has a wicked sense of humor. Recently I asked him what three elements do you need to start a fire (it was a science question). Within 10 seconds he said, a stupid person, a can of gas and a match. I'm so proud. ha ha He can't decide whether he wants to play the drums or the trumpet.
The love of my life is Ross Mejias. He gives me back all the love I give him two fold. He makes me laugh, he makes me think, and we can spend an entire hour just sitting not talking. He is a nurse and retired from the Air Force. We say grace at dinner each night and thank God that we found each other. I am blessed.
I love my job at the VAMC. I am the Administrative Officer for Medical Service. I am in charge of all administrative duties within the service (i.e., residents, students, budgets, reports (many!), and computer problems).
I enjoy biking, racquetball, sailing, and reading. I am going to school at St. Leo's University at Langley Air Firce Base. I am working on my Health Administration degree. So far I am maintaining my 4.0. Mom is so proud. She is great by the way and would appreciate a visit from anyone who goes back to Havana.
Please feel free to email me. I hope to be able to make it to our 25th reunion now that I can schedule leave for a specific date.
