Today's Featured Biography
Cliff Green
Well what a journey… I tell my daughter that one really doesn’t understand life until they have been knocked around a bit and attended the school of hard knocks… Life’s experiences tend to build humility in a person and the ability to offer understanding, grace and forgiveness to others. However, in 1982 I was young, a bit full of myself and bullet proof… Thirty years later, I am older, hopefully wiser and have experienced the hard knocks, and surprisingly… survived.
In 1982 I had dreams of being a great trial lawyer. My father who was a very wise man and an accomplished attorney talked me out of law school. Like most parents, he knew me better than I knew myself and knew law was not my calling in life. I went to BSU, earned a Bachelor Degree in Business, took my dad’s advice and continued my education at the University of Idaho… At that time I met a young gal, had a child and finished a Master’s Degree in Business Education. Unfortunately the marriage didn’t work out, but I did get an awesome daughter out of the experience.
After teaching for 6 years I decided to return to graduate school and pursue a Doctorate in Education at BSU. During my studies I met the person who I would share the remainder of my life with and have been happily married to for 12 wonderful years. We were recently blessed with the arrival of our first grandchild, Amelia. After graduating from BSU in 1999, I have worked for the State of Idaho as a program manager, a non-profit education association as Executive Director and a for-profit education company based out of Portland Oregon as a VP.
Recently, I was honored to be appointed by Governor Otter to the Executive Director position for the Idaho Education Network and am serving the great State of Idaho as a public servant once more…
As for the future… who knows? I couldn’t have guessed how the last 30 years would have gone… That said, Danelle and I are looking forward to the day when we can retire and spend time with our family, friends and church enjoying a more relaxed, yet fulfilling lifestyle… I hope the same for all my 1982 classmates…
Last, I feel I would be remiss if I did not mention the efforts of the MHS 30 Year Reunion Committee. I was blessed to reunite with friends and acquaintances from our years at Meridian High and enjoyed our monthly meetings for a year and a half prior to the event… I must say that I have enjoyed getting to know them again and look forward to the festivities on which they have been working so tirelessly. We owe them a great big “Thank you!” See you all at the 40th.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
