Today's Featured Biography
John Frommelt
After graduating from Wahlert, I attended Loras College for two and a half years before being drafted into the Army. I served two years with the Army Security Association at the Finance Center in Indianapolis, Indiana and Fort Wolters, Texas.
I returned to Dubuque in 1967 and married Carol (Visitation) and we have been happily married for forty five years. We have four sons: Dale, 44, Praire Village, Kansas, Neal (Deceased), Dean, 41, Mt. Zion, Illinois, and Dan, 35, Dubuque, Iowa and seven grand children.
Carol and I are active members of Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit Pastorate) for the past forty five years.
I worked at John Deere in the Industrial Engineering Department for thirty three years retiring in 2001. We spend the better part of the year with our fifth wheel camper at Yellow River State Forest in Northern Iowa where I do volunteer work for the Department of Natural Resources.
I’m a twenty eight year member of the American Legion Post 0787, a forty six year member of the Knights of Columbus, Counsel 510 and a member of the Tri-State Motorcycle Club.
