Today's Featured Biography
I now live in Peshtigo, Wi. I worked for NW BELL TELCO in Dubuque working as everything from lineman to electronic switching tech. I married Mary Ann Tanner in 1962. We have three children. Jeff is a project director for GE Aviation. He graduated from Michigan Tech with a BS in electrical engineering and from Michigan State with an MBA. We have twin daughters. Jean is a nurse practitioner in Abilene Texas. She is employed at Dyess AFB where her husband is a pilot. They have three great kids and a dog. Julie graduated from MTU with a degree in molecular biology and has a masters in Biotech ethics. She lives in the DC area and works for Uncle Sam. In 1973 I took a transfer to Michigan Bell in the Keweenaw Peninsula living in a tiny town about 10 miles north of Houghtom, Mi. That was a great experiance. In the 14 years we lived there it snowed every month except July. Our biggest year was 391 inches. Lake Superior is a great snow machine. In 1987 I was transfered to Menominee, Mi. on the Wisconsin state line. We live in the small town of Peshtigo and have two cats. For my winter pastimes I ice skate and XC ski. In the summer I roller blade, kayak and bicycle. Mostly bicycle. I still come back to Iowa for RAGBRAI. OK nouph said, eh.
