18 more months before our 50th Reunion event (September 15th, 2018) and the committee is working diligently in gathering all the potential options to make this a memorable one. We are thinking out-of-the box and reaching for the sky with ideas and we also welcome your suggestions too. Besides the main event on September 15th 2018, potentially they may be side event(s ) offered too. More information of those event(s) at a later date.

Aloha 1968 Classmates,
Your 50th Reunion Committee is excited and working hard to make this reunion an event to remember. The date has been set, so mark your calendar: September 15th, 2018. The venue will include delicious food, libations, lucky number prizes, music, 50th Reunion Yearbook, and other surprises. We are asking classmates to send a copy of picture(s) of High School days (sports, social events, social club events, etc.), these will be incorporated in the 50th Reunion Yearbook. We will update you of the planning progress through Classreport.org/usa/hi/honolulu/khs/1968/, Classmates.com, FaceBook, etc. This may be the last event so get in touch with your fellow classmates and let’s have a blast.
We are asking for your kokua in helping the committee acquire donations (gift certificates-Longs, Foodland, Times, restaurants, bakeries, D&B, movies tickets), to name a few. If you know someone, ask if they can donate something or pass the contact to us and we will ask.
Part of the planning process is estimating how many will attend this grand event. We need your help by letting us know if: You Will Attend or May Attend.
Your contact is Gary Mizumoto.

I am semi-retired from De Anza College's nursing program. I left Hawaii in 1973 (was married to Cliff Yamaoka) for Berkeley, California and then we moved to Cupertino, California. We have two great sons from that marriage. In 1992 we divorced and I remarried, Michael Faulkner in 1994. He is a retired registered nurse. In 2005 I retired from teaching and moved to Nevada. I'm working, part time, as a family nurse practitioner in two rural health clinics. I diagnose and prescribe but collaborate by phone with a physician, if needed. I love living at Topaz Lake, Nevada. My mother, sister and brothers still live on Oahu, so I do return to visit.
My older son is a singer/songwriter in San Diego, California (music name is JTurtle). My younger son works for Apple Computers and is also a singer. In his college days at Cal Poly SLO, he was the college baritone for their barbershop quartet.
His fiancee, Rachael Beckner is a classical soprano. They live in San Jose since 2007. I still dance hula with a Carson City halau. I love my Hawaiian/Japanese roots and try to share it with my mainland friends.
We have 3 cats and 1 dog. We'd love classmates to visit. Please keep in touch. Aloha!
