Today's Featured Biography
Pamela Higginbotham McElroy
I have lived more of my life in Florida now than my home state of Georgia. However, I still call Georgia my HOME. When I come to visit my sisters in Brantley County I tell my friends I am going 'home', but HOME is Waycross not Brantley county.
My life has not been the same Cinderella story I dreamed I would have growing up in a loving Christian home being the baby of a large family. I thought I would marry and live happily ever after like my parents. Instead, I have been married 3 times but am so thankful my God was with me each and every day on this road I never dreamed I would travel.
I am blessed with a wonderful husband; 3 children; 7 grandchildren (1 deceased); and 9 great grandchildren and one more on the way in 2013. Clayton and I were able to build our home on 10 acres of land his grandfather homesteaded in Levy County, FL. We are blessed to live close to his family as well as my children which gives us many opportunities of fellowship. We have a wonderful church family at Pine Grove Baptist Church where we are both active in many areas.
I THANK my Lord for walking with me all these years. As I said even though it was not the "Cinderella life" I had expected, it has definitely been a BLESSED life.
