After FMHS I went to FSU. My college years were really great and I did the whole Greek bit (Bobby Bowden's daughter and I were in the same sorority pledge class so one can imagine the opportunity for misbehavior THAT happy circumstance provided...). After a fair amount of messing around, I ultimately received a BS in Business-Marketing.
In 1983, I moved to Orlando to work for a nationally recognized urban planning company. I worked there as marketing director for 14 years, after which time I left to become a stay-at-home mom.
My husband, Steve, is a commercial realtor who has long specialized in large-scale land sales for new towns. He is semi-retired and now involves himself only with those projects which interest him. He attended the tenth reunion with me so some of you may recall meeting him.
Our son, Ben, is a senior at Clemson University. He is, if I may say so, a terrific young man. His interest is also in business, so we'll see where this leads him.
My current focus is on taking care of my husband, my mother (who, at 84, remains in TERRIFIC form...), and...MYSELF! I work out daily and have become involved with several worthwhile charitable and cultural programs. In these frightening times, I have a growing interest in interfaith dialog.
I am still the proud lifelong friend of Christy Haskins Henson and we are in close touch.
I think often of our time at FMHS and I find myself terribly nostalgic about those years. So many of you meant more to me than I can ever possibly express.
In closing, at the beginning of 2016, I wish for all a happy New Year, and I hope to see many of you in 2017 at our 40th reunion (Ye Gods...).
