35 Year Reunion Announcement!
Save the Dates: September 2nd - 4th, 2011 (Labor Day weekend)
Holiday Inn Select (Naaman's Road at I-95 in Claymont, DE)
Hello, Classmates,
Mark your calendars and make your reservations now, because you won't want to miss a minute of our 35th reunion weekend! There are too many people to see and too many years to catch up on for a single dinner or even a quick weekend, so we have chosen a long weekend to make the most of this milestone event in our lives.
When: September 2-4 (Labor Day weekend), 2011. We will kick things off with a welcome party on Friday evening, our reunion dinner on Saturday, and activities throughout the weekend. Your committee is working diligently on these and other festivities to make our reunion one you won't forget.
Where: The Holiday Inn Select on Naaman's Road at I-95 in Claymont. (The hotel is in the process of upgrading, and will be a renovated Crowne Plaza by the time of our reunion). We have a limited block of rooms offered at a discounted price, $89 + tax. You may reserve your room by calling 1-800-HOLIDAY (800-465-4329) or 302-792-2700. Please be sure to tell the operator that you are with the Concord High School Class of 1976. Your credit card will not be charged until you check in, but please reserve your room early.
We need your help (you knew this was coming!) to make sure that this reunion is one that will be worthy of the Class of '76.
Please make sure that we have a physical (snail mail) address and phone number for you as well as your e-mail address, and please keep us updated if these change. Elisa Sklut Ley is compiling that information.
If you haven't yet done so, please register on our official website:
While you are there, please look through the names of our classmates who are listed as missing. Do you have current contact information for them? If so, would you either ask them to get in touch with one of the reunion committee members, or pass their information along to us? We want to make sure that everyone is made aware of the details of our reunion.
If you have special needs, (i.e., wheel chair accessibility) please let me know.
Most importantly, make plans to attend your reunion!
Please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me with any questions that you have. I'm looking forward to seeing you in September 2011,

I've been blessed with a good life, which hasn't been perfect, but it's
always been interesting! After leaving Concord, I lived in Nashville, TN, where I attended college and worked for the Country Music Association, before moving to San Juan, PR for three years. Two partners and I owned a couple of businesses there together, and I did free-lance photography until moving back to the continental US, and my 'other life' started.
That life consists of my husband, Bob, our three children, Deborah, (& her husband Phil) Bob (& his wife Melissa) and Ben, and our six precious grandchildren. Bob is retired from DuPont-Merck and I retired from private practice as a clinical psychologist; I also taught as an adjunct professor in the psychology department at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN.
I can't wait for our reunion and to see everyone. The early planning stages have already been lots of fun!
