Brendan Fitzgerald

Brendan Fitzgerald , Management Analyst
Department of Veterans Affairs

Below is my previous bio for a position in Tulsa, OK. We now reside in Virginia and I work for VA. In August 2012 I was the recipient of the first Service Dog in VA history which was trained by the non profit organization Puppies Behind Bars. Russell is my 2 yr old Black Lab who was trained for 1 1/2 years in the prison system in NY, and specializes in assisting Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and PTSD, both of which I sustained by a roadside bomb in Iraq in 2004. Per ADA law, Russell accompanies me EVERYWHERE I go, to and from work via subway, and is a monumental asset to helping me on a daily basis. He is anxious to meet my classmates from GHS at our next reunion and shake paws with everyone!
See you all soon I hope!

Hippie!
