45 Year Reunion Announcement!

45th Reunion Cancelled |

Dear Pirates,
Earlier this year we charted a course to reach the Island of Marriott on Sept. 10th for a reunion of our Alameda Class of ‘77 Pirate crew. But alas, ill winds ran us 45 degrees off course. As a result, we are forced to cancel our plans for the 45th Reunion and are looking forward to our next rendezvous in 2027 at the 50th Reunion.
We had very positive responses and encouragement in the spring from fellow classmates. However, pent-up demand for post-pandemic travel; the resurgence of Covid-19; economic worries; and general life issues like work and caring for elderly parents/spouses/siblings, and/or children/grandchildren, interrupted the enthusiasm. In the end, reservations were much lower than anticipated.
Please stay in touch via this Class Website. Create a profile and continue to let us know about fellow classmates.
We wish you happy and healthy sailing over the next few years and look forward to sharing some grog in 2027.

Today's Featured Biography
Michael Jacobs
Graduated CSU 1981 and CU 1985, Engineering. Consulting engineer working internationally until 2008, then an executive with gold mining companies in Canada and Australia. My wife Renee is a retired eye doctor and my two sons, Ben and Josh, are both CU grads and engineers also. No grandkids yet and they are both too busy working and remain single. Currently living in Blaine, Washington and work for Newcrest Mining in Melbourne, Australia. Retiring July, 2022 to play a lot of golf and travel the world for fun, not work. Sorry I’ll miss the 45th reunion (travel planned) but will be on the lookout for the 50th.
