I went to the University of Michigan, transferring back to the University of Denver where I received a degree in English. I taught high school English at Abraham Lincoln High School. I married the boy next door, Barry Hirschfeld and retired from teaching when our first child, Barry Jr. was born. Since then, I have volunteered for many different civic and charitable organizations. My focus has been working on behalf of children, education, the arts and the Jewish community. Some of the organizations are Junior League of Denver, Denver Art Museum, Rose Community Foundation, Women's Foundation, Allied Jewish Federation of Denver and Harvard University Divinity School.
My favorite time is spent with my family including my two grandchildren. I play golf, bridge especially because it includes being with friends.
