Hey Sonora grads --
Kevin was truly brilliant to set this up. What a great way to connect with everyone!
Let's see . . . after graduation, I went to Cal State Fullerton and got my degree in English with a minor in Business. I got a job working in public relations for Hill & Knowlton on the Mazda account. PR is fine, but Shakespeare is better, so I decided to go back for my Master's degree.
While at CSUF, I met my husband Grant in our Chaucer class (he's an English geek too -- but American lit, so there's much to argue about).
Grant teaches English at Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach. We've been married for 12 years.
Surprisingly, I really don't do much with poor Shakespeare these days. When you have three kids, you simply do not have time to quote extensively. And small children grow tired of iambic pentameter. Gotta mix it up a bit. Let's just say one day the kids will have an impressive collection of British and American literature to peruse . . .
We have an almost-eight-year-old daughter Grace and twin boys, Gavin and Sean, who will be five in May. Besides the craziness of raising three kids, I also am the executive director of an educational non-profit organization called OCEBC (Orange County Employee Benefit Council).
I look forward to seeing you guys at the reunion. Keep in touch through the website; it's great to hear what's going on with you all.
