Hey everyone, it took me along time to decide if I wanted to talk about myself. I decided why not so here I go. I still live in Fortuna, I will never move. I love it here, I spent the first 20 years working for PALCO, just like most of us at one time. I married Becci (Ponci) on July 29,1989. We had our first daughter (Samantha) in 1991 and the second (Katrina) in 1996. In 2001 I decided that PALCO was not my future, so I decided that I would try law enforcement. Yes, I know what you are thinking, Jim a Cop no way.I took a test for the Humboldt County Sheriff's department to become a Correctional Officer. I passed and the rest is history, it's a great job other than the hours I work. I also have been a volunteer fireman in Fortuna for the last 16 years. I enjoy working with the public and the youth in Fortuna. I have been on the ERV youth football board and coached baseball at the youth level. My kids are very active in sports, Sam is playing basketball in high school now. Katrina is into soccer and baseball. Becci works at Fortuna Middle School (aka:Town School) as a teachers aid. Life is good right now for me. I hope everyone is doing good, and I hope to see you at the reunion. Please don't hesitate to email me at (sperro45@cox.net). I always tell my friends PLEASE don't come see me at work. I have run across a few classmate in jail.
