Today's Featured Biography
Brad Hoopes
Hi all,
The time flew, and who would have thought that my wife and I would end up retired in Florida in an adult community called The VIllages. We raised two sons in the Eureka area, and Jeri and I both taught school. Jeri taught in Cutten, and I taught in Trinidad. Before teaching, I worked for Bank of Loleta as a loan officer. Our son Brian is an engineer with HMH Construction in Sacramento. Our youngest, David, completed his doctorate, and he and his wife teach in a Savannah prep school. We have two grandchildren. I do have a small business repairing irrigation systems here in Florida but try to only work 2 days a week. I haven't kept tabs on many from our graduating class except for Todd Cochrane. Most of you know he passed away last year. He and I were very close during and all these years since high school. I miss his friendship very much. I do get up to Humboldt County each fall to visit my brother Jeff and his wife Carol Fritz who have a ranch on Monument and are now growing grapes up on the hill. They love making wine and have planted hundreds of Pinot vines. My father has passed away, but Mom is doing great in Utah. My brother Jeff, from the class of 76, is president of Swinerton Inc. in San Francisco and seems very happy. Brother Preston lives in Cleveland and is a partner in an insurance adjusting firm. His three kids are violinists and are Juliard graduates. His son, Chad, is a concert violinist and recording artist. Check out his new classical CD. Life has been good. We are very blessed. I think fondly upon the years I spent growing up in Loleta and attending Fortuna High. Those of you who still live in the area are lucky indeed. I hope to see you in August. Brad Hoopes

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
