Debbie Gonzaga Newell

I live in the beautiful San Francisco Delta. My husband and I will be celebrating our 20 anniversary this year. I met Gerry while I was attending San Francisco State University after earning my AA from Los Medanos College. We lived in Idaho for the first year of our marriage where my husband taught at the Idaho State School for the Deaf and Blind, our second year was spent in Colorado Springs, CO and though it was lovely living under Pikes Peak we longed to come home to CA and leave the snow for a weekend trip to the Sierra mountains. We bought our house in 1993 and I have had a great time making it our home. I sing in our church choir and enjoy gardening, reading, cooking and long road trips. We have not been blessed with children but we have 5 pets two female cats May and April are littermates that were a housewarming gift from my sister Sharron, Louis who was rescued from under our church and named after our founding priest Fr. Louis Dabovich and Isaac who wandered onto our back porch one warm summer day. Our lastest addition is a Belgian Melanois named Hunny. She is a girls best friend though my husband would argue with me about that. I was laid off in 2004 from a long engagement selling commercial PC's to major medical facilities and ChevronTexaco and have had some health difficulties that hopefully will be resolved in the very near future. Once I am completely back on my feet I will be seriously looking for a job to keep me busy. Needless to say this will be a difficult transition for Hunny.
