After graduating from Vanden in 1973, I tackled working retail until 1977, when I started working at the local brewery. I made my best move in 1978 when I married my wife, Karen Killelea Gray. In 1979, Karen and I had our one and only child, (actually Karen did most of the work). We named him Weldon III, and nicknamed him “DJ”. DJ is also a Vanden Alumni, (Class of 1997). I left the brewery in 1987 and started my landscape business. We live and play in Fairfield, where the majority of are family still are. I have fond memories of my years spent at Vanden High, and even further back, Golden West Intermediate School. I cracked open the yearbooks and found some familiar faces and good friends from a time that doesn’t really seem that far back. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the football game.
