Work Experience

Presently the Project Architect in charge of 5oo million dollars of VA projects in the southeast and Puerto Rico. Has worked with the Mobile District Corps of Engineers for the last thirty plus years. Served as one of the Senior Architects within the Design Branch of Engineering Division. Responsibilities included, writing design criteria for Design Build Projects,
Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantities, and Multi Award Task Order Contracts projects, within the Mobile District Military and Civil boundaries as well as Puerto Rico. Portions of which included the moving of United States Army South troops from Panama to Forth Buchannan Puerto Rico, development of Request For Proposals for the John H. Sparkman Center ($ 85 million), and various Army Reserve Centers.
Served as Lead Architect for the Collective protection for FEMA – Calhoun County Alabama ($ 45 million)
Served as POC for the development of standard designs for Flight Simulator Facilities for the Department of the Army.
Served as PAE (Project Architect Engineer), for several key IN-House and AE design Projects. Developed SOP for Design Build projects.
Developed design Criteria for Multi Award Task Orders.
Served as the Project Architect for SANG (Saudi Arabia National Guard) Headquarters (received a Letter of Accommodation).
Served as PAE for Mac Dill AFB, Fla. replacement of Medical Clinic ($ 87 million), and Pharmacare Addition and Alteration ($ 3 million).
Responsible for leadership and coordinating the planning and design work among multi-discipline teams of engineers, architects, interior designers and other professionals for a wide variety of project designs, unique one-time projects and improvements to existing projects.
Coordinates the design efforts of multi-discipline teams in the production of studies, design reports, design memorandum, plans and specifications, contract documents, and engineering design during construction.
Provides the design criteria to team members and ensure that customer criteria are addressed. Provide the customer with a cost effective design solution.
Prepares and controls schedules and budgets for design.
Prepares and implements quality control plans or quality assurance plans.
Obtains reviews and recommends approval action on quality control plans from Architect-Engineers. Represents Engineering division in project acquisition strategy meetings.
Develops and implements marketing strategy for the customers and installations.
Prepares Architect- Engineer scope of work.
Coordinates review of contracted Architect- Engineer products to serve as the focal point for assessment of Architect-Engineer performance and assure quality of product.
Provides instruction to Architect-Engineer firms for development of Quality Control Plans.
Reviews and approves quality control plans.
Serves as government representative in matters of contract compliance with Architect-Engineers. Coordinates all design phases with the Project Manager and customer.
Utilizing a professional knowledge of engineering or architecture, engages in the planning and design of new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for a variety of facilities.
Develops and analyzes design criteria needed for the construction and/or renovation of facilities to meet new mission and environmental requirements. Provides technical review of engineering design calculations, analyses, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
Develops and maintains customer specific criteria for the design of projects at assigned installations. Prepares engineering design drawings using advanced capabilities of Computer Aided Drafting and design software.
Prepares specifications and design analysis documents. Keeps abreast of emerging technologies. Provides technical guidance to other designers and employees.

Representatives projects include but are not limited to warfare simulation facilities, education centers, libraries, hospitals, clinics, squadron operations facilities, aircraft support facilities, dormitories, barracks, physical fitness centers, dining facilities, corrosion control facilities, jet engine and rocket test facilities, laboratories, aviation and ground fuel storage and dispensing , transportation facilities, family housing, headquarters office facilities, hydropower, navigation, recreation and flood control facilities.

Coordinates the design efforts of multi-discipline teams in the production of studies, design reports, design memorandum, plans and specifications, contract documents, and engineering design during construction.

Provides the design criteria to team members and ensure that customer criteria are addressed. Most projects are unique in nature requiring innovative solutions in order to provide the customer with a cost effective design solution.
Prepares and controls schedules and budgets for design.
Prepares and implements quality control plans or quality assurance plans in accordance with
Engineering Requirements 1110-1-12 for all projects assigned.
Obtains reviews and recommends approval action on quality control plans from Architect-Engineers.
Represents Engineering division in project acquisition strategy meetings.
Develops and implements marketing strategy for the customers and installations
Prepares Architect- Engineer scope of work.
Coordinates review of contracted Architect- Engineer products to serve as the focal point for assessment of Architect-Engineer performance and assure quality of product.
Provides instruction to Architect-Engineer firms for development of Quality Control Plans.
