Today's Featured Biography
William Mitchell
I was born in Hot Springs, MT and then moved to Polson, MT in '78, where I've lived most of my life. Hot Springs, otherwise referred to as the "Home of the Healing Waters: Limp In, Leap Out," is my retreat when I just want to get away. Anyways, after moving to Polson, I attended grades K-9. Then in Nov. of '88 (when I was a Sophomore at Polson High School), I moved to Juneau, AK, where I finished out the remainder of my high school years. I mainly moved to Juneau to take care of my grandma, whom I was very close to. I also worked for my sister, Laurie, at her Fitness Center, Fitness Plus, which she now owns in Polson, MT. Also, I enjoyed spending time with my Uncle Jack, currently a member of Mt. Juneau Artists (formerly Artwork Unlimited) in downtown Juneau. During my Sophomore year (and Junior year)at JDHS, I joined the varsity track team and really enjoyed the out-of-town track meets as well as wandering off to explore the surrounding communities. I'll never forget the trip to Angoon, a scenic fishing village located on Admiralty Island. I've always felt at peace while traveling on the state ferries (and always will). Upon graduating in '91, I moved back to Montana to attend Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, where I majored in Computer Science from '91 - '94. Ever since I graduated from the college, I never went back to school, but have been enjoying the time spent here with family and friends. I'm currently working for the local radio station, Anderson Radio Broadcasting, as a Radio Board Monitor. I don't talk over the air...I just basically "babysit" all three of our radio stations (750 KERR, KIBG, 100.7: The Big 100 and 92.3: Power 92 Rocks the Mission Valley). I've been employed at this company since Mar. of '01 and all of my co-workers are the greatest. Anyways, that's all I have to say for now. If any of you fellow classmates have any questions, feel free to drop me an email. It will be good to hear from you again!
