David Woodley

Hello 88ers! I still live in lovely, but increasingly crowded, Eagle River.

After high school I got right to the task of being an undeclared freshman with no clue what to do at UAA. Somehow I graduated with a BA in History in 1992. Still having no clue what to do I started work at UAA's College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office as the Dean's assistant (and sometimes drinking buddy).

i started teaching as a part-time instructor of history in 1996. I still enjoy it and occassionally get someone from our high school years in one of classes and remember the old days. It shocks the younger students to learn we were just as awful if not worse than the current generation.

In addition to teaching, I like switching jobs at the University of Alaska every year or so these days (5 jobs in five years). Most recently, I am a prospect researcher for the University of Alaska Foundation (I find out who has money to give the U). I also own a few small businesses.

Two years ago I married my wondeful wife Aimee and not quite a year later we had our beautiful daughter Abigail -check out her website at www.abigailwoodley.com - no myspace junk for her.

Life is great! I hope to see everyone possible at the 20 year reunion.
