Coach-ride along Turnagain Arm and through Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel to Whittier, Alaska.
In Whittier at @11am you board Prince William Sound Glacier Tour ship to cruise Esther Passage to view tidewater glaciers in Harrimon Fjord and Barry Arm stopping at Surprise Glacier. Lunch is provided. You will see a working salmon hatchery. You will arrive back at the Whittier dock @5pm and ‘coach’ back to Anchorage to arrive @7pm.

Decade of the 50's CD set - Reunion Fundraiser

Classmates have an opportunity to acquire (almost) ALL of the charted hit songs of the 1950s (383 songs) on 13-high quality CDs while helping our Reunion funding.
This 1950s music set comes in a 6" X 6" hard CD case with small individual laminated menus in each CD slot. Each CD label is decorative and identifies the CD.
There is also a master alphabetical song list identifing all the songs in the set.
The "donation" to "Anchorage Class of 1959 Reunion" is $199.00, plus $20.00 shipping for addresses outside of Anchorage.

Authors Frances Ruhlen McConnel and D. Bruce Means present Returning to Alaska: What Can Happen in 50 years
2 members of the first Anchorage High School graduating class of the new State of Alaska return to Alaska for their 50 year class reunion.
Frances has become an accomplished poet and creative writing professor.
Her most recent poetry collections are The Direction of Longing and
White Birches, Black Water, a fine press chapbook published by fellow
classmate and Anchorage resident, Ben Robar at his Bucket of Type Printery.
Bruce is an accomplished naturalist, author of Stalking the Plumed
Serpent and other Adventures in Herpetology: 45 Years of a Field
Ecologist's Encounters with Exotic Animals, as well as numerous science
books, documentaries and magazine articles.
Everyone is invited to hear their stories. Frances Ruhlen McConnel' calls her sections of the reading"Moose, Wolves, Cougars, Oh My!" and "An Angel's Wishbone, a Pierce-Arrow, and other Oddities" and D. Bruce Means calls his "Snakebite" and "Giant Earthworm!".
