Today's Featured Biography
Mary Edgett Stienburg
After graduating from RHS, I went to St. Mary's University and got a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and English. I liked the city of Halifax so much that I stayed on and took a job at Check Inns ( a computerized reservation service for Tourism Nova Scotia). In 1990, I entered the airline industry as a Flight attendant for Air Nova Inc. Originally planning on staying for a short while, I was immediately addicted to the lifestyle and travel of the airline business, and ended up staying on until the present time with the same company, which is now Air Jazz Ltd.
In 1995 I met my wonderful husband Don (from Dartmouth NS), and, in 1996, we were married in Riverview. We travelled a great deal before kids and one big highlight of our travelling was a trip to Hong Kong and Bali for our honeymoon.
Recently, I've taken a separation package from Air Jazz, after 15 years, which starts concurrently with the end of my maternity leave. I am looking forward to staying at home with our four little girls for the next few years and hope to find a little extra time to finish a certificate in Human Resources before heading back into the workforce.
We moved from Halifax to the " Harbour " about 4 years ago, and so far, we are enjoying the small town living by the sea! The twins attend Musquodoboit Harbour Elementary School and will be entering grade two in Sept/05, while our other two girls are still at home.
